One Picture Six Colors

This is another drawing from the Bucilla crochet booklet from 1916.   I played around with it and recolored it.  I think I like the sepia the best.

Saturday Image Bonus 210

Today I have images from a 1916 Bucilla booklet for Filet Crochet.  Some of the projects are exquisite.  The amount of work to make one of these is mine boggling.  I love to crochet and knit but these projects are done with very fine spools of thread.

Saturday Image Bonus 209

Today I have scanned some of the images from the inside of the May 1924 Ladies Home Journal.  There was a certain elegance in the clothing from this time.  The men were dapper and always dressed in suit.

The Big Haul

I hit the mother load at the flea market today. It was a gorgeous morning and there were plenty of vendors with vintage paper. I scored 29 vintage magazines, vintage photos and a recipe pamphlet. The titles include Ladies Home Journal, McCalls, The People's Home Journal,American Fabric, Woman's Home Companion and Ladies World. I will have lots of goodies to post for you in the upcoming months. See the haul below.

Paperdolls by Gloria: Using Clearly Vintage Images

While surfing the web I found a blog featuring paper dolls made using several of the digital images I have posted here and on my other blog Digital Two for Tuesday.  The very talented Gloria used the images to make the most adorable paper dolls.  Those of you who have followed me for awhile know that I love paper dolls.  I was extremely excited and asked Gloria if I could share them here and she said yes.  Here are the paper dolls and the images that she used to make them.
You can find Gloria's original post and many other free digital download projects on her blog at Creative Digi Vintage.
