Painting Again

Sorry, I have not been as diligent about posting lately. I gone crazy over online drawing/painting classes. I had stopped painting and drawing over the last few years and mostly concentrated on my collage work, cards and vintage images. The classes are a wonderful refresher as well as very instructional on how to use many products I have not used since college.

Ok. Don't judge me. Here are all the classes I have taken or am taking over the last 2 months; Supplies Me and I Heart Drawing by Jane Davenport, Colordrop Flowers and Painting Poppies by Martha Lever, Suzi Blu's Gypsy Art, Paint Poppy Master Class by Michelle Brown, Lifebook 2013 and Fabulous Faces by Tamara Laporte. As you can see I am addicted. I highly recommend them all. The teachers are each unique and have so much knowledge to share.

Below is a painting I made using tips and information from Tamara's amazing class Fabulous Faces. I am only in the second week of this class. I still need a lot more training but I am pleased with the results so far. For this painting I used Watercolor Crayons Caran D'Ache Neocolor II. The stamping was done using Ranger Paint Dabbers in Copper and Juniper.

  1. Well done on getting back to your 'roots' - I would be happy if I could do half as well as you have.
    Enjoy the journey.

  4. These are very good. I like the simple and yet whimsical style of your painting. I admire anyone who can paint as I've tried and have found it a real challenge! Thanks for having the courage to share your work.
