This week's images are from a french magazine called L'Arte et la Mode dated December 1925.   The first image is the cover.  Unfortunately the pages are quite large and I could not scan the whole cover.

I hope you are enjoying these images from The Woman's Institute Home Sewing Tips Booklet.  One of the most interesting things about this booklet is the use of Post It like squares.  This booklet is from 1925.  The squares are similar in color to Post Its and the adhesive is on one edge.  I am not sure if it is removable.  I am afraid to damage the booklet.

Pages From A 1920's Sewing Booklet

 All three of these images are from the 1920's Woman's Institute Home Sewing Tips booklet.  The images in this booklet are so lovely.  I love the detailed drawings and of course the twenties fashions.  I am really enjoying posting these.  Their are more images from this booklet posted on Digital Two for Tuesday.

These images are from a Booklet  called Home Tips by the Woman's Institute in Scranton, PA.    I have started collecting these because they are full of delightful images from the 20's and of course some wonderful sewing tips.

Crepe Paper Costumes

A few more of the crepe paper costumes from the Dennison booklet.  Wow they just get more and more intricate!  It is hard for me to believe that people actually made these costumes.  I love the 20's style.

These images are from the Dennison booklet from 1925 as well.  I just love the the details.  It is hard to believe that people made such intricate costumes out of crepe paper.   The booklets include directions but the time involved for a disposable costume seems silly.

 Today's images are from a 1925 Booklet by Dennison Crepe Paper on How to Make Crepe Paper Costumes.  These are just so adorable.  Everytime I see the crepe paper at AC Moore I think I should try to make one of these beautiful costumes.
