A few more from the 1927 Fashion Service magazine. What a great era this was for style. I think since the 1960's styles have gotten so bland. It is often hard to tell what era it is in a movie. Perhaps the jeans got wider or lower, hair bigger or higher. Collars changed a bit but nothing like in the 1930's. The fabrics, the hats, the cut of the garments are so distinct in the 30's.
Be sure to stop by my other blog I have been posting digital stamps from this same magazine all week.

Fabulous images yet again - thanks so much Cora.
ReplyDeleteFantastic images, Cora! I must agree with your observation of fashion since the 1960's. It seems as though nothing new or stylish has really come about. Mostly the designers are copying past eras.
ReplyDeleteLovely images - I enjoyed looking at all of them
ReplyDeleteLovely images, thanks so much. kiss
ReplyDeleteI love these wonderful images. Fashion is much more casual today, but I love seeing the ladies in the sleek dresses and the great hats!
