Ok. I am amazed by some of these ads. They basically are selling beer to nursing moms, the sick and to children. I guess in the days before regulations they could market to anyone.
When I was in hospital with my first child in 1971, the nurses encouraged fathers to bring in dark ale for nursing mothers to drink. It was supposed to be good for the babies! La plus ca change...71.
Thanks for the images Cora. I also drank stout/dark ale when I was breast feeding my babies - it sure boosted the 'supply' late in the day!! Blessings Maxine
