Sorry for posting a little late this week but I have been feeling a little under the weather. This week the images are from a February 1909 McCall's Magazine. The styles of this time are so romantic. I love the hats, the elegant sleeves and the lace. As always feel free to use any of the images on my website in your artwork but please do not post or sell the original image on the web in a group or collection or alone. If you use one in a project and post it to your site please link it back to here or leave a comment in the comments section of the image on this site so we can all enjoy. I love to see what you create. Please be sure to leave a comment if you stop by. It inspires me to post more.
Thank you all for all your kind words and posts about my dad's passing. We are all doing well.
Please feel free to use any of the vintage images on the website in your artwork. Be sure to share your artwork with us. This is a labor of love and I love to see what you create. Bad News Today
These collages of my dad as a boy were made for a birthday one year.
Their engagement annoucement. I made this collage for their 55th.
He was in love with my mom the first day they met.
I thank you all for your prayers for my dad but he passed yesterday morning. He and my mom had been together for 59 years. We are all doing ok. I guess I am still in shock as it is hard to believe that he is gone. My dad was one of those incredible people who knew a little bit about every subject. He was always learning new things and had an incredible love of books. My dad Iz Ungar was a polymer chemist and even after he retired he worked until he was 79 travelling worldwide consulting. He had over 50 US Patents to his name and 100 international patents.Thank you all for your words of comfort. It is great to konw there are so many friends out there.

Some Fun and Exciting News
For some time now I have dabbled in making chocolate candies and bake goods and now I have decided to become a Dove Chocolatier to combine my love of chocolate and of course sales. I have a Dove website that you can access through the sidebar or you can follow this link. The products are amazing. Last night my family tried the chocolate mousse and it was delicious. I will be making some chocolate martinis for the superbowl later. Yum! Please let me know if you would like to buy anything or sign up to be a Chocolatier yourself.
Contact me if you want more information. |
