Clearly Vintage 245

Today I have five victorian trade cards for you.  They all are advertising starch.  Both companies were located in Buffalo NY.  Niagara starch still exists today.

Flowers for You

I was looking through my large collection of trade cards and spotted these two beautiful cards.  I love the rich colors.  They do not have any advertisements on the back.  Trade Cards were popular from the 1880's until the 1920's.   There are no dates on these.

Saturday Image Bonus 244

This weeks images are from a wonderful old magazine Delineator Magazine from May 1918.  The pages are so big I had to photograph them instead of scanning, so they may not be as clear as usual.  The styles are so elegant from this era.  I just love the hats and the skirt length.
