Black Apple doll- My First Attempt

Sorry I haven't had a chance to post my Saturday Image Bonus today. I've been busy making the cutest little doll called a Black Apple Doll. I found the pattern on the Martha Stewart website. The original designer Emily had a guest appearance on her show and shared the pattern.

My doll is named Maizy. I added some vintage buttons and some vintage lace. The flower in her hair is actually theTim Holtz Sizzix pinecone die. Maizy has already been adopted by my daughter.

Saturday Image Bonus 199

The magazine I have been posting from the last few weeks is filled with beautiful images.  I loved all your comments of how small the waists were and that it did not start with todays models.  Here are a few more images from the 1895 Delineator magazine.  Check out Digital Two for Tuesday for some iron work designs from this same magazine.

Saturday Image Bonus 198

This week I am continuing to post more images from The Delineator Magazine February 1895.  The details in the clothing are amazing.  Someone asked me if  these are hand drawn.  They are originally hand drawn then printed.  Some of them are signed.

February 1895 Delineator

This magazine is filled with stunning images.  I lucked out this summer and found a vendor with a few of these from the late 1800's.  I couldn't wait until next weekend and had to post more of these beautiful images.

Saturday Image Bonus 197

Well, I found a software program and I am experimenting with it now.  So let me know what you think.

All of these pictures are from a February 1895 Delineator magazine.  More puffy sleeves, intricate collars and elegant long dresses.
This is the cover.
